What’s Included in Your Rental
Each rental includes everything needed for use during labor:
• Labor- specific TENS unit
• Lead wires
• Batteries
• Two sets of electrode pads (8 pads total)
• Carry case
• Simple instruction guide
• Shipping directly to you
• Prepaid return shipping label
Your rental lasts 6 weeks, beginning on the date the device is shipped. This timeframe is designed to comfortably cover the weeks leading up to your due date and allow time for return after birth.
How the Rental Process Works
Reserve your rental through this page.
Read and agree to the rental terms on the checkout page.
Your TENS unit will be shipped to the address you provide, typically around 37 weeks of pregnancy, unless reserved after.
Use the unit as desired during labor.
Return the unit using the prepaid return shipping label provided.
The device should be returned within 6 weeks of shipment.
Optional Add-Ons
The following add-ons are available to further support your preparation:
30-Minute Virtual TENS Consultation
A one-on-one call with Christine to review pad placement, when to begin using the TENS during labor, how to adjust intensity, and how a partner can assist.
Additional Electrode Pads
Extra pad sets if you would like additional backups.
Extended Rental (2 Additional Weeks)
Extend your rental period for additional flexibility.
Add-ons can be selected when reserving your rental.
TENS Unit Rental Agreement
Your Family Doula Services
By renting a TENS unit from Your Family Doula Services, the renter agrees to the following terms and conditions.
Rental Period
The rental period is six (6) weeks and begins on the date the device is shipped by Your Family Doula Services.
This timeframe is designed to comfortably cover the weeks leading up to your estimated due date and allow time for return after birth.
Return of Equipment
The TENS unit must be returned using the prepaid return shipping label provided with your rental.
The device must be shipped back on or before the final day of the rental period.
The renter agrees to return the device in the same condition it was received, excluding normal wear from use during labor.
Late Returns
If the device is not returned by the end of the rental period, a late fee of $10 per day will be applied beginning the day after the rental period ends.
If the unit is not returned within 7 days after the end of the rental period, it may be considered lost, and the replacement cost may be charged as outlined below.
Lost, Missing, or Damaged Equipment
The renter is responsible for returning the TENS unit and all included components.
If the device is returned:
• damaged
• missing components
• not functioning due to misuse
• or not returned at all
Your Family Doula Services reserves the right to charge the renter for repair or replacement.
The maximum replacement charge for the device is $150, plus the cost of any missing accessories.
Card Authorization
By completing this rental, the renter authorizes Your Family Doula Services to keep the payment method used for purchase on file for the duration of the rental period.
The renter authorizes Your Family Doula Services to charge the card on file for the following if necessary:
• Late return fees
• Replacement cost of the device (up to $150)
• Replacement cost of missing or damaged components
The renter agrees that these charges may be applied to the card on file without additional authorization if the equipment is not returned according to the terms outlined in this agreement.
Use of the Device
The renter agrees to follow the instructions provided with the TENS unit and to use the device responsibly.
The TENS unit is intended to be used as a comfort support tool during labor.
Medical Considerations
The renter confirms that they do not have a pacemaker or other medical device that would contraindicate the use of a TENS unit.
If the renter has any medical concerns regarding the use of a TENS unit, they agree to consult their healthcare provider prior to use.
Liability Waiver
The renter assumes full responsibility for the use of the TENS unit.
Your Family Doula Services and Christine Becerra are not responsible for any injury, discomfort, or outcomes related to the use or misuse of the device.
The renter releases Your Family Doula Services and Christine Becerra from any liability arising from the use of the rented equipment.
Agreement
By completing the purchase of a TENS unit rental, the renter confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this TENS Unit Rental Agreement.
Only a limited number of TENS units are available for rental. Reservations are first come, first served. Please reach out prior to purchasing to ensure availability for your due date.
